TechGirls & WHTC July 2022
The State Department launched the TechGirls exchange program in 2012 to encourage secondary school girls (ages 15-17) from the Middle East and North Africa to pursue careers in tech and higher education. 2022 marks the 10th year of TechGirls and due to its success, Congress approved an expansion to support 111 young women from 35 participating countries/territories from every region and 25 U.S. peers.
